Holstein 001 Glasses Slip Case
A glasses case that does its job without announcing itself. Protective, compact, and built to last considerably longer than the glasses it carries.
The Holstein 001 Glasses Slip Case is made from the same jet black, vegetable tanned leather as the rest of the Holstein 001 collection, cut from a single shoulder sourced from Thomas Ware & Sons in Bristol. It protects your eyewear from scratches and everyday knocks, and attaches securely to a bag strap or belt loop via the solid brass lobster claw clasp so your glasses are always within reach.
The protection
The semi-rigid leather construction holds its shape against the contents of a bag, protecting lenses from scratches and daily pressure. The solid brass lobster claw clasp keeps the case securely closed and provides a reliable attachment point for bag straps, belt loops, or anywhere you want your glasses close to hand.
The materials
Full-grain, vegetable tanned leather from Thomas Ware & Sons, Bristol. Jet black with a subtle natural texture and semi-rigid structure. No decorative coatings, no finishes that will wear away. Over time, the leather develops a patina, lightening slightly at edges and high-contact points, deepening overall in a way that is specific to how you carry it.
The solid brass clasp is chosen for longevity. Where plated hardware chips and tarnishes within months, solid brass develops a natural patina that complements the leather as both age together.
The construction
Hand stitched with white Ritza waxed thread using a saddle stitch technique. Edges finished by hand. The white stitching against jet black leather carries through the aesthetic of the Holstein 001 collection. Confident, precise, and honest about the work involved in making it.
Designed to complement the Holstein 001 Card Wallet and Key Organiser. The full collection works together as a coordinated everyday carry set.
